For Hebrew Word Pictures to be accurate, we need to know that the
ancient letter Alef, in shape and in name, signified an ox or a bull (and
therefore carried the meaning of what is strong and what is first).

|
|
Christian, Jewish and secular resources are consistent in teaching the
original meaning of the letter Alef. Notice that most of the resources
will describe Alef as an ox or a bull, and as being used as the
Hebrew number one.
This
page will change every 4-6 weeks, so that we can cover the entire Alef-Bet
approximately every 2 1/2 years.
